Southington-Alice Radziwon, 65, passed on to a better place on Nov. 10,2012 after a short battle with cancer. Alice was a beautiful woman whose heart was as big as her constant smile. She was born in Chicago and settled in CT with her beloved husband of 41 years, Henry Radziwon. Alice, Henry and their two children, Jeffrey and Leigh Radziwon, enjoyed many adventures together camping in VT, traveling around the world, and especially embarking on hundreds of weekend road trips searching for crafts and blue highway restaurants. Alice was well known for her incredible cooking, craft making, constant smile, infectious sense of humor, and compassion for animals and others. She always put others before herself and showered her loved ones in homemade gifts and irresistible dishes. Alice left behind her beloved dog, Noel, who will greatly miss her table scraps and belly rubs. Alice truly loved her job and co-workers at the State of CT Judicial Dept. - especially her boss and partner in crime & humor, Lee Helwig. Her husband, children, four siblings, (Donald Bergamin, Dorothy Baggio, Laura Gruber, and Joanne Bergamin), scores of friends, Grandogs, and Q.V.C will miss her greatly. There was always an open seat at Alice?s table. Heaven?s kitchen just got an upgrade.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St. Plantsville, on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.In lieu of flowers, Alice asked for donations to be made to the Southington Bread for Life Food Pantry (www.southingtonbreadforlife.com) and/or The Meriden Humane Society(MeridenHS.Petfinder.com). The Radziwon family would like to thank all the friends, family, and her judicial co-workers who showered us with their cards, phone calls, love and prayers. In addition, we would like to thank her wonderful doctors and staff in the I. C.U. and C5 floor at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. All of them provided superior personal care and comfort to Alice and her family during our long stays.
