Allan Roger Peterson

He was born August 10, 1929 in New Britain, the son of the late Gothard and Hulda (Swanson) Peterson. He was a long time resident of Southington and Palm Bay Florida before returning to Connecticut in 2009.

He retired from New Britain Machine, had worked for Peterson Kitchens and had been a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his sons; Roger Peterson and his wife Christine of Plantsville, David Peterson of Bristol, John Peterson and his wife Susan of Plantsville and Allan Peterson Jr. and his wife Kathy of Westbrook, Maine, his grandchildren, Carl, Melissa and April. He also leaves a sister Shirley Rowland of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Richard, a daughter Susan, 2 brothers Raymond and John, and 2 sisters, Arlene and Eleanor.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 28 at 12:30 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Calling hours will be 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.
