Americo Volpe

     Born in Italy on Nov. 29, 1927 the son of the late Attilio and Carmela (DiPlacido) Volpe. Prior to his retirement he was a union mason. 

    In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Valentino Volpe and his wife Brenda of Southington, a daughter Elena Dupuis and her husband Gary of Amherst, MA, 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Natalie, Brittany, Rachel, Jessica and Chelsea, a brother James Volpe and his wife Deanna of Avon, 3 sisters Laura Volpe and her husband Nello of Plainville, Gina Federico of New Britain, Maria DiCenzo and her husband Frank of Milford, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Angelo and Lena D’Amato of CA and several nieces and nephews. 

     He was predeceased by a sister Anna Federico and husband Aldo, and a brother-in-law Vincenzo Federico.

The funeral and burial will be private. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington assisting the family with arrangements. There are no calling hours.
