Angelina Sonia (Polce) DiBacco, 85, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving sons. She was the beloved wife of the late Americo DiBacco.
Angelina was born on September 21,1940 in Pratola Peligna, Italy, to the late Giovanni and Rosina (DiPillo) Polce. She was a longtime employee of North American Philips Technology in Cheshire, where she worked for many years before retiring as a supervisor in 1998.
Angelina found great joy in cooking and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She took great pride in caring for her family and was a kind and loving woman whose warmth touched the lives of many. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her beloved sons, whom she loved with all her heart, Ricky DiBacco and Americo DiBacco, both of Southington; a sister, Mariuccia Polce, of Italy; and many cherished nieces and nephews in Connecticut and Italy. She was predeceased by her sister, Wanda Polce.
Angelina’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fumo and the Oncology Department at MidState Medical Center, Meriden for the compassionate care provided to Angelina and her family.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt Street, Plantsville. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden.
Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelina’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
Angelina will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
