

Southington- Angelina (Crispino) LaPorte, 90, of Buckland St. (Plantsville) section, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at The Hospital of Central CT, Bradley Campus. She was the wife of the late Michael LaPorte.
Born Feb 27, 1920 in Southington, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Laponio) Crispino.
Angelina was employed by International Silver Co. in Meriden. She and her husband also owned and operated Joe?s Grocery and Package Store in Plantsville. She had also been a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church. Angelina?s family and friends will remember her in life as being unselfish. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother along with being a great cook.
She is survived by a son, Rocco Michael LaPorte and his wife Bonnie of Berlin, and a daughter Beatrice Harrigan and her husband Brian of Plantsville, 2 sisters, Mary Crispino and Margaret Perfetto both of Plantsville, 5 grandchildren, Mya Lewis and her husband Brian, Michelle Miller and her husband Matthew, Maureen Harrigan, Lauren and Krsiten LaPorte, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Ralph Crispino and a special cousin Rose Quinlan.
The Funeral will be held Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Aloysius Church for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 4-8 p.m.
