Angelina Scott

Born July 27, 1924 in Port Chester, NY, a daughter of the late Alfonse and Jenny Melillo.

Angelina was employed over 35 years at the Chippanee Golf Club of Bristol until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church and a member of the Southington Calendar House.

She is survived by three children, James E. Scott and wife Anne Marie of Clinton, John D. Scott and wife Penny A. of West Barnstable, MA and Kathleen Smedberg and husband Arthur of Plantsville; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael Scott and Gregory and Laura Smedberg along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Carey and Mildred Antonaccio and a brother Alfred Melillo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be TODAY (Thursday) from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer?s Resource Center, 1261 S. Main St., Plantsville, CT 06479.
