Aniello Perone

Aniello Perone, 74, of Old Turnpike Rd., lost his valiant fight to cancer surrounded by his loving family and friends on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Southington Care Center. He was the husband of Antoinette (Cecere-Palazzo) Perone.

Born July 24, 1935 in Bonea Benevento, Italy, a son of the late Antonio and Antoinette (Iachetti) Perone.

Aniello was employed by General Electric retiring in 1994 and was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and making wine.

Besides his wife he leaves his three children, Antonio Perone, Domenic Perone and wife Jennifer and Maria D?Amore and husband Antonio all of Southington; two sisters, Maria Leone of Canzo (Como) and Nicoletta Rullo of Ponte Teresa (Milan) both of Italy; five grandchildren, Domenic, Anthony and Ashley Perone, Bianca and Dante D?Amore; He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy, Switzerland and Australia.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Pellegrino, Giovani and his twin Luigi. The family would like to thank all the special friends and the staff of the Southington Care Center for all of their support and care given to Aniello.

The funeral will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Thomas Church for a mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
