

Born in Dawson, TX on Oct. 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Aniceto and Anita (DeBaca) Salazar. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was very proud to be the executive aid for Clifford Willis, Chief of Police for the New Britain Police Department. She previously worked as secretary to the Chief of Translating Development in Washington DC. Mrs. Cianci was a Volunteer for the Red Cross and American Cancer Society. She had the voice of an angel and was a long-time member of the St. Thomas Choir and also appeared on television. She was an outstanding seamstress and an avid quilter.
She is survived by a son John Cianci and wife Cathy of Bristol, 2 daughters Laura Langello and husband Larry of Cheshire and Victoria Sankowski and husband Skip (Henry Jr.)of Plantsville, 4 grandchildren, Patricia and Christine, Alyss Langello who will always remember her as mema, and her "precious angel" Cody Elisabeth Sankowski, 2 great-grand-children, she also leaves 2 brothers, Joseph Salazar and John Salazar both of Albuquerque, NM, 2 sisters, her beloved Frieda Apodaca and Virginia Archuleta both of Albuquerque, NM, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah L. Cianci and her son Leonard Jeffrey Cianci.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St.
