Anthony J. DeAngelo Jr. 75 of Southington, CT passed away peacefully at home on November 30th. He was born on May 27,1949 to Anthony and Sophie DeAngelo.

Anthony started his love of construction at an early age with his family’s business O & D Excavating. He learned that on every job site his equipment going on site had to be immaculately clean and leaving the job it had to be perfect! Later taking on the role of President and keeping the legacy going for 77 years. He was a Master at excavating and dozing and happiest digging in dirt and rock. Anthony was extremely hard working, determined, loved and respected all around professionally & personally.

When Anthony did take time for himself, he had a passion for snorkeling and diving in the Caribbean Islands and Florida. He enjoyed car racing specifically Lime Rock, Loudon and Stafford. Anthony loved rock & roll music, live bands and having fun! He was always smiling and at his happiest helping out anyone who needed him.

Anthony was predeceased by his parents Anthony & Sophie DeAngelo and brother-in-law Timothy Pye.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Kevin and wife Angela DeAngelo, daughter Olivia DeAngelo and fiancé Kevin Wells. Grandson’s Carson, Trevor, Leo, Eli and devoted sister Eleanor Pye.

The DeAngelo Family would like to thank Dr. Nadkarni and the staff at MidState Cancer Center and the Hartford HealthCare Hospice nurses. A special thank you to his family and many friends for all of their love and support.
