

Born in Waterbury on February 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Perugini) DeLeone. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Spangler. In 1954, he built one of the first Carvel Ice Cream Stores on Meriden Rd in Waterbury. He also owned and operated DiLeone?s Frozen Foods and was a retired employee of Cly-Del Manufacturing. Tony was a member of the Lakewood Social Club. He especially enjoyed his vacations with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by three daughters, Grace Anne and her husband Robert McKenna of Wolcott, Maria and her husband Martin Meehan of Bristol, Toni and her husband Michael O?Connell of Wolcott, six grandchildren Anthony and Lauren McKenna, Adam and Jeffrey Meehan, Olivia Grace and Angelina Rose O?Connell. He will also be missed by his friend and caregiver, Clara Bryan.

Funeral will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 meeting directly at
Our Lady of Lourdes Church 309 South Main St. in Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital c/o 199 Park Rd Ext. Middlebury, CT 06762.
