Antone P. DeMello
October 30, 1945 – February 7, 2021
Antone P. DeMello, 75, of the Marion section of Southington, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021 at his home. He was the loving husband of Linda (Moore) DeMello.
Antone was a Police Officer for the town of Southington retiring in 1989. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church and a member of the Calendar House of Southington. Antone was an avid birdwatcher loved to tend to his garden.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Jenny DeMello of Southington, Sara Wunsch and husband Jonathan of Bristol and Michael DeMello and wife Katie of Culpepper, VA; his grandchildren, Arianna, Alexander, Kane and Skyler. He also leaves his brothers Charles DeMello and wife Linda of ME and John DeMello and wife Chong of Southington, sisters Joan Procko and husband John and Elizabeth Cardona all of Plainville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Joshua DeMello.
The Funeral will be Monday, Feb. 15, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Military honors will follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Sunday 12- 3 p.m. Face coverings are mandatory. I am so very sorry to hear of Tonys passing...I enjoyed chatting with him on line from time to time... Living in Fl we will not be able to attend the service but know Tony and all of you will be in our prayers,,,
