Arthur Thomas Williams Jr., 79, of Southington Connecticut, fell asleep in death on May 3, 2025, at the West Haven VA Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born on June 16, 1945, in Waterbury, CT, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur Williams Sr. and Louise Hodges.
Arthur was drafted into the military during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for many years as an HVAC technician. A true handyman, his children and loved ones could rely on him to fix almost anything. After retiring, Art was a local “Home Depot celebrity employee,” always ready with a warm smile and wise advice. A talented singer, he performed in several bands, and was the lead singer of Body Heat. Arthur became a well-known DJ, spreading joy wherever he played. His passion for rhythm and connection through song was a defining part of his life, even down to his last days.
Arthur married the love of his life, Pamela Rose Williams, in 1969. Together they shared over five decades of love, laughter, and lasting memories. Arthur was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on May 30, 2009. His strong faith and beliefs were a guiding force in his life and brought him tremendous joy. He volunteered his time to share Bible truths with others and was always ready to speak about his hope to any and all who would listen.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Pamela; his four children: Francis Williams and his fiancée Lydia Cassarino, Julia Smith and her husband Tyree, Aimee Jackson and her husband Jonathan, and Maia Williams. He was a cherished grandfather to Portia and Jerae Williams, Jeramys and Shardae Williams, Zayleana Delgado, Everly, and Hollis Jackson. His legacy continues in his great-grandchildren: Sutton and Gray Williams, Analeiah and Carmelo Anthony Delgado.
Arthur was predeceased by his sister, Margaret. He leaves behind his brother Elvin “Speedy”; sisters Teresa, Dolores “LoLo”, Audrey, Janice and Rhoda; in-laws Marie Morrison and Martha and Benjamin Brown; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, Maritza and Ronnie Maia.
