

Aurele Cormier, 75 of Southington, died suddenly on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at HCC New Britain Campus. He was the husband of Marie (Triompo) Cormier. He was born on January 31, 1939, and was the son of the late Louis and Leona (Chasse) Cormier.
Aurele was employed by the State of CT DOT and had retired from there. He was a parishioner of The Immaculate Conception Church, a member of the Falcon’s Nest #307 and the American Legion Post 72. Aurele served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Paula Cormier and son Eric Cormier, and his wife Ann, all of Southington. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Haley and Patrick Gustavson and Austin and Adam Cormier all of Southington; three brothers Leon Cormier and his wife Fern, Roger Cormier and Francis Cormier all of Southington. Aurele is also survived by three sisters; Aurore Saucier of E. Hartford, Jeanne Dumond and her husband Nelson and Rachael Aldieri and her husband Mike, a sister-in-law, Betty Jane Cole and her husband Robert and sister-in-law Dorothy Lavoie and former son- in- law James Gustavson all of Southington. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, along with many loyal friends. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters Lionel, Fernand, Carl, Annette and Fernande.
Aurele’s only hobby was helping family and friends.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday September 27, 2014 at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington. to The Immaculate Conception Church 130 Summer St. for a mass at 10 am. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday 4-7p.m. In lieu of flowers, please remember Aurele by cherishing your time with family and friends.
