

Barbara (Fredrickson) Dibble, 92, of Bristol, formerly of Southington, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Bristol Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter Dibble.
Barbara was born on April 5, 1933, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and was the daughter of the late Eric and Bertha (Farkas) Fredrickson.
She graduated from the Dental Hygienist program at the University of Bridgeport and dedicated many years of service to the community through her work. Barbara retired from the Meriden Health Dept. working with several schools including St. Stanislaus School in Meriden, where she cared for the dental health of many children, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students.
Barbara was an active member of the Plantsville Congregational Church and was known for her kind heart and welcoming spirit. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, painting, knitting, and crocheting. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially when it came to baseball and football and loved attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Barbara is survived by her loving children: Lee Dibble and his wife Lori of Southington; Christopher Dibble and his wife Merilee of Southington; Robert Dibble and his wife Jonna of Middlebury; Holly Burkitt and her husband Gordon of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Sherri Dibble Condon of Meriden; and Laurie Dibble Lococo of Fort Myers, Florida. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Maximilian Dibble, and her brother, Alan Fredrickson.
Barbara will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through those whose lives she touched. Her family would like to thank the staff at Bristol Hospital, including the emergency department, the staff on floor G and the hospice staff for the wonderful care given to their mother.
