I've known the Stimpsons for 8-9 years now. In the recent years I've had the opportunity to really get to know Brian and Cathy, as well. He was a special person. He was good neighbor. He had respect for his nieghbors even if he didn't agree. He was a stand-up guy. He was a friend through "thick n thin". He and his wife Cathy helped me out through some of my own hardest times-"Unconditionally" like family. I will never forget and will always be grateful to have had such a friend & nieghbor as Brian. We are truly going to miss him.

Carol & Ray, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  There is nothing more heartbreaking than to lose a child.  Over the coming years you will constantly ask yourselves, I wonder what it would be like if Brian were here?  I'm not aware of the circumstances  to his death but I'm sure it is very difficult for his wife and children to accept.  

I will keep both families in my prayers.

I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

There are so many memorable and very funny times we had together so we decided to relay just a few.  Who could forget the Stimpson family barbeques.  ...And, If Brian did the food shopping @ Lebonnes for the event, there was enough meat to feed the whole town.  Of course, we can not down play Kathy's cooking.  Brian and Kathy together made sure it was always a good time for all and we loved it.  The 4th of July was always the best too.  Brian and those fireworks were always something to talk about and amazingly he never did burn the house down.   We loved the afternoons at the bar, just talking about the day.  And even better, listening to all of Brian's philosophies about life.  ...So many laughs.  Lets face he was one funny guy even when he wanted to be serious.  From Mick,  I'll never forget the Giant's game we went to.  Remember that van.  Piece of crap broke down in the Bronx on the way home, it did.  So, whatever anyway, we frequented every Irish bar we could find.  Oh, and the fun we had.  From Sara,  I loved that you called me "Teach".  And, I loved that you always greeted me with a smile and a shake of the head when I showed up at your house for breakfast with the family in my pajamas.  I loved that you welcomed us all into your home, at any time, for any reason.  To Brian, you were a great friend, an honest guy through and through.  We loved you dearly, we will miss you and think of you often.  To all the family,  our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Love to all at this difficult time.  Sincerely, Mick & Sara

I would like to let you all know that I am truly sorry for your loss and that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

The last couple of years Brian has joined our group on our annual trip to an NFL stadium and he was such a great addition to a very diverse group of guys ranging from 25-85.  Brian made the most out of every trip and loved to be around the guys to listen to their stories and to also make them laugh with his own antics.  He was one of a kind! This year he brouhgt his son Anson of  whom  he was so proud of and also brought so much fun and energy to our trip. I look forward to seeing Anson next year and to fondly remembering Brian on each trip.   Take care of each other !  John Elliott
