Bruce (“Brucie”) P. Tarro Jr., 48, of North Port, Fl., passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2023. “Brucie” was born in New Britain, CT on May 11, 1974 and was the beloved son of Bruce P. and Sandra (Wilkins) Tarro Sr. also of North Port, Fl. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1992. “Brucie” was a retired United States Army Disabled veteran and worked at AMES Financial Corp. as a wholesale mortgage broker. Bruce moved to Florida three years ago and purchased a beautiful home in North Port, being close to his immediate family that he loved beyond words. He became quite the home body. He loved sitting at home chatting on the phone with family and friends, watching movies and listening to music. While he only lived in Florida for three years, he flourished in the sunshine, taking rides to the beaches. He enjoyed joining in on the parties, holiday gatherings and treasured all the friendships he made and many became like family to him. Bruce had a deep faith in God and The Blessed Mother. His heart was huge and full of compassion and love for his family, friends and all of humanity. He was drawn to everyone including strangers, especially for those who faced disabilities and difficulties in their lives. Bruce’s heart was so big, he couldn’t walk past a homeless person without offering a cigarette and money and saying “God Bless” as he continued on. His love for his mother, father, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends were deep, and he was always worrying if they were ok or in pain. Bruce easily took on the pain of those he loved. While he had no children of his own, he had an endearing love for his two nephews, Tyler and Logan Albert. He treated them as his own children and would do anything for them and they brought such joy into his life. Besides his parents, “Brucie” is survived by his sister, Stacy (Tarro) McCool and her husband Jim of North Port, Fl, his nephews Tyler and Logan Albert also of North Port, Fl., his aunts and uncles; Madeline Cipollone of Meriden, CT, Charlotte Henlin of Bonita Springs, Fl, Gleyn and Belinda Tarro of Vernon, CT, and Deborah and George Blair of PA. He also leaves behind his beloved cousins, Shelly Henlin of Stafford, CT, Brian Henlin of Wallingford, CT and Leonard Cipollone III of Meriden, CT. He was predeceased by his beloved cousin, William (Billy) Cipollone and also by his uncle, Leonard Cipollone Jr. whom he missed dearly. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
