

Born in April 23, 1961 in Meriden, Bruce was the son of the late James J. and Delores (Letner) Weed.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Bruce cherished the time he spent with his family. His greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved, and he will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and the many memories he created with them.
In addition to his beloved wife, Brenda, Bruce is survived by his seven children: Glenn, Priscilla, Matthew, Brandon, Austin, Preston, and Mitchell. He also leaves behind fourteen cherished grandchildren: Lillian, Zachary, Jacob, Sirah, Samiyyah, Andi Marie, Brandon Jr., Theo, Myla, Eden, Amira, Athena, Luella, and Preston Jr. Bruce is also survived by his brother, Danny Weed and his wife, Pam; his sisters, Kim Smith and Margaret Ritchie and her husband, Terry; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his brother, James J. Weed Jr., and his sister, Wanda Kramer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington.
Bruce's family would like to thank all those who offered their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. His memory will be treasured always by those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
