Carmella Adams

Millie was born December 21, 1927 in Rhode Island the daughter of the late Gerald and Rose (Smunto) Russo. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Ne Britain Transportation, the State of CT in Newington and had also worked at Southington High School in the Cafeteria. She was a member of the first Congregational Church.

She is survived by her three sons William Adams and wife Danielle of Southington, Robert Adams and wife Sandra of Burlington and David Adams and wife Judy of Cambridge, MA; four grandchildren, Rachel and her husband Rudy, Joshua and his wife Kristin, Jason, Kristina, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Adreanna, Zachary and Charles. She also leaves a brother Mario Russo of CA and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Angie Bissonett and brothers Dominic and Armand.

The family would like to say thank you to all of the staff at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center for their loving and professional care of Millie throughout her stay.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11 am at the First Congregational Church, 37 Main St. Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Humanities at Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1261 South Main St. Plantsville, CT 06479.
