He was born November 12, 1940 in Waterbury and was the son of the late Carmine and Dora (Gambogi) Cavello.
Douglas served with the U.S. Army and retired from the U. S. Government. He loved golf, the Boston Red Sox and old Fords.
In addition to his wife Norma he leaves his brother Richard and wife Veronica of Southington, a sister Marcella Magerer of Newton, MA and several nieces, nephews and his best friend buddy.
