Carol (Cijunskas) Wilcox

Born in Waterbury on December 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Gerard) Cijunskas. For over 30 years she was a paper carrier for the Waterbury Republican American, retiring two years ago. She was also formerly employed at DATTCO and was a substitute teacher in the Wolcott School System. Carol was an animal lover, enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.

Carol is survived by a son Jonathan Wilcox and his wife Lissa Jacobson of Thomaston, a daughter Cynthia Wilcox of Wolcott, a granddaughter Kestrel Wilcox of Thomaston, a granddog Ryan, a brother Robert and his wife Patricia Cijunskas of Wolcott, two nieces Carissa and her husband Tom Polski, Michelle Cijunskas, three nephews David and Stephen Grohs and Michael Cijunskas, and her longtime companion William Perkins of Wolcott. She also leaves many longtime customers whom she considered friends.
