
Southington-Carolyn (Pignet) Mauro, 66, of Silo Dr. Plantsville, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at John Dempsey Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Albert "Toot" Mauro.
Born in Southington on February 7, 1942, the daughter of the late Ovidio and Helen (Kazmierczyk) Pignet. She was employed as Office Manager by Dan LaPorte and Associates. Carolyn was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a Stephen Minister, she was also a member of the church's choir and was a Eucharistic
minister.
Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life and spent her time helping other people.
She is survived by her loving children Gina and her husband Dan LaPorte, Julie and her husband Tom Tydeman all of Southington, and Dean J. and his wife Debbie Mauro of Plantsville, her cherished grandchildren Lindsey, Christina and Alexandra LaPorte, Jaclyn and Thomas Albert Tydeman, Michael, Matthew and Daniel Mauro, her sister Marie and her husband Lou Corte of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff in ICU at John Dempsey Hospital for their loving care and always going above and beyond the attention given to Carolyn.
The Funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 531 Woodruff St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St.
