Born in Southington on March 22, 1949, Christine is survived by her mother Elinor (Hubeny) Brunoli of Southington, and was preceded in death by her father, the late Attilio Brunoli. A proud graduate of Central Connecticut State University, she earned her degree in Accounting and went on to build a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. Christine also played an integral role in the operation of Lavorgna Fuel Oil Services, alongside her longtime friend, Patrick Marando Jr.
Christine had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. She loved collecting seashells, spending time at the beach, and watching the various birds that came to her birdfeeders. She especially loved hummingbirds. She loved planting flowers and looking at the wildflowers that grew along the sides of the road. She loved driving around the Pennsylvania Amish farms looking for roadside stands. Christine always wanted to be on the go, traveling to Florida, the Cape and Maine and eating all the lobster, crab and clams she could. She loved the holidays and celebrating her loved ones, and was best known for her delicious meatballs, cakes, pumpkin pies, fruit cakes and jello molds. She enjoyed thrifting, watching the UCONN girls basketball games and showing up for all of her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
Above all, Christine cherished her family. She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Jennifer Paplauskas, and her husband Jason, of Sherman; and her adored grandchildren, Noah and Emma Paplauskas. She also leaves behind her brother, Paul Brunoli of Southington; three sisters, Sandra Brunoli of Southington, Karen VanNesse of Southington, and Denise Belden and her husband William of Southington; and her very special nephew, Rodney VanNesse of Florida.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
