Claire Doris Albert

Claire Doris Albert (Scott), 87, longtime resident of Southington currently residing at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville, CT, passed away January 21, 2021 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain after a short illness.

She was born on October 1, 1933 in Central Falls, RI to Rose (Lusignan) and Delphis Scott. She had two siblings Marcel and Donald Scott. She graduated from St. Xavier Academy in Rhode Island. She worked for JJ Industries / Jet Tool & Cutter in Plainville for over 40 years.

Claire enjoyed bowling, ceramics, puzzles and watching her Jeopardy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was also a member of St. Thomas Church in Southington for over 60 years.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Walker and her husband John of Old Lyme, CT, Diane Wilson of Land O Lakes, FL, Denise Holyst and her husband Larry of Southington, CT, Steven Albert of Northford, CT, Alison Kuley of Granby, MA, Laurie Derynioski and her husband Brian of Old Lyme, CT, and Susan Colon and her husband Billy of Greenville, NC; her daughter-in-law Susan Albert of Southington, CT; as well as 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and brothers, she is predeceased by two of her sons Douglas and Thomas Albert, and her son-in-law Randy Kuley.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial for family will be held at 10am on Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Thomas Church in Southington. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington.

Claire’s family would like to thank the staff at Mulberry Gardens, the Hospital of Central CT, and Hartford Healthcare Hospice for their compassionate care.
