I remember how the four of us would go out to lunch at least a couple of times a year. It was Connie, Elaine, Patty and myself Carol. We had been friends since our Travelers days many years before. Miss you and hope you have found peace till we meet again.

Today as a tribute to Connie and the  fact that we are missing her as she was part of our foursome (Travelers Girls) we ( Elaine, Patty and  Carol) we wanted to do some kind of remembrance to honor her. Richard, I am so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. She was such a great person whom I had the privilege of working with at Southington Care Center. Connie was always  smiling and so kind to all she encountered. I am so very sorry to hear about Connie. I have very fond memories of her from our days together at Southington Care Center.  She was always so kind, considerate and compassionate to all she encountered.  May you be comforted by your cherished memories.

Met Connie at Travelers Insurance company in 1967 along with Elaine Callahan and Patricia Ecker, we have been together for all those  years through good times and bad, agreements and disagreements but always with love and respect for each other. It was always good times when we were able to coordinate our lives and get together which we fortunately did only a month ago. We have now lost one of foursome and it hurts. Love you Connie and will miss our get togethers. Rest In Peace.

I knew Connie when she helped out as the cafeteria manager at STA School.   Her grandson Carter, whom she absolutely adored, was attending the school at the time.  Connie greeted all 210 students every day, many by name;  in addition to the regular meals served, she made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the picky eaters; she cheerfully decorated the bulletin boards and shelves outside the kitchen for every holiday.  She would ask which days I planned to give a tour of the school to a prospective family so she could be sure to have some cookies baking in the oven... she did everything with such love and kindness.  What a beautiful spirit.

Oh how we loved Connie! She was the  cafeteria coordinator at St. Thomas the Apostle School.  She was hired by the food service company to just serve the food. 

Not Connie. She loved the students and teachers. She made our cafeteria a welcoming spot to eat lunch and chat with friends. She loved to add something special for holidays or just because. Her worry about nutrition was also part of her personal make up. She wanted the best for her school family. 

We had the best….

The first time I met Connie she was so warm and loving and I was even able to see her wonderful snowman collection.  She welcomed my son Jay into your family like he was another son to her.
This kind and gracious woman will be so missed. 
I can’t help but wonder if Connie and Laura are already out shopping.
