Meriden- Daniel William Stieg, 56, a former longtime resident of Southington, passed away on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 in Virginia. He was visiting his son with whom he had spent his last day fishing. Dan loved to go fishing with his family and friends. Daniel was born on April 25, 1954 and grew up in Uncasville. He was the son of the late William and June Stieg. He was employed by APS Technologies in Wallingford as a Quality Assurance Manager.
Dan was an avid Red Sox Fan, enjoyed photography, the outdoors and coaching his children?s town league teams.
He is survived by his loving children Brian Stieg and fiancé Kaelyn of VA, Jennifer and husband Carlos Rivera of CA, and his cherished grand daughter Scarlett Rivera. He also leaves his sisters, Linda and husband Mark Roberge of CT and Susan and Peter Grab of NM.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
