

Diane Renee (Lacroix) Roy, 65, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 8, 1960, in Bristol, Connecticut, Diane was the beloved daughter of Betty (Kohl) Lacroix and the late Eugene Lacroix.
A lifelong Connecticut resident, Diane attended local schools and later worked as a housekeeper doing cleaning services as well as being a secretary doing clerical work, accounting and bookkeeping. She was known for her vibrant personality, warm spirit, and ability to make friends wherever she went. A true social butterfly, Diane loved music of all kinds and could often be found dancing, laughing, and bringing joy to those around her.
Diane possessed a remarkable creative talent and a deep appreciation for art. She was especially gifted in interior design, transforming spaces with her unique vision and eye for beauty. She also had a special fondness for elephants and enjoyed expressing her creativity in many aspects of her life.
Family and friends will fondly remember Diane's love of cooking, especially the dishes she became famous for sharing with others, including her beloved macaroni and cheese and creamy apple squares. She treasured sunny days spent poolside and looked forward to camping adventures in her motorhome at Lone Oak and White Pines Campgrounds, where she made many cherished memories with her family.
Diane leaves behind her loving son, Morel Lacroix; her daughter, Darlene Roy; her mother, Betty Lacroix; her sister, Kathy Sands, and Kathy's husband, Don; and her beloved grandchildren, James D. Lacroix, Nalla R. Nelson, and Nivea R. Morris. She was predeceased by her father, Eugene Lacroix. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Diane's family will remember her for her creativity, kindness, laughter, free spirit and the love she shared so freely with those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In accordance with Diane's wishes, all services will be held privately with her family. There will be no public calling hours.
Memorial contributions in Diane's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
