what i heard of him was that he was a good guy. My mother sometimes goes to his grave and talk to him i wish he was here it would be good if  i could meet him .

My Dominic,

You were one of the few good people in this world. When we first met, it was like I saw an old friend. Instantly, we were laughing and having fun. I knew from the start that we were going to need each other. You were in need of guidance and protection; I from myself. I loved you then and I still love you now. I am so sad that our little girl never had a chance to "know" you. She's so beautiful Dominic and at times she grins just like you.

The Sadness will never go away, but I'll always remember what we had that Summer. Everytime I hear "Good Riddance-Green Day" I can still see you singing it with me, I still hear your voice.

I promise that Vivian will be a good girl and she will "know" who you are. I will always protect her from those who would cause her harm.

May you rest in peace sweet Dominic and maybe one day we'll sing together agian.

DJ was one of my favorite people. I love him so much. and miss him dearly. I hope the best for his mother hope and his baby.

Dear Hope, Bill and the entire Perry Family;

     We were very shocked and saddened to learn of the recent passing of your son Dominic.  Please accept our deepest condolences during this very very sad and difficult time.

To the Perry Family,  I hope this reaches you all with love, respect and the best intentions in mind.  I wish there was something more I could do or say to express how deeply sorry I am for the incredibly unfair loss you are having to endure.  I pray that the happiness D.J. brought your family through the years will help heal your hearts.

    It is tough they say to lose a loved one, but it is even more tough to lose a child.  D.J. we will always remember our little DeNiro, all the silly things you have done in the time we were all together,during little league football, Luis was the one to have given you that nickname, and it stuck with us, you have made such an impact on everyone you came in contact with, I wish I could have seen you as a man. Our memories of you will always be in our hearts, never to be forgotten, We know you will Be at peace with the Lord.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your Son and Grandson. Know that our prayers are with you all and also know that the healing will take time. Having been through this type of grief with my brother Jim and sister in law Jear, I know that it is an awful thing to have to experience. Dominic is now in the hands of our Lord and will suffer no more pain and will look over you for the rest of your lives. I just wish that there was some way that we  could ease your pain. Again, our prayers are with you all.

The last time that you and I sat to talk it was a beautiful conversation.  I couldn't help but tell you that I was so proud of you and happy to see you turn into such a fine young man.  I would love to have sat with you longer but bowling took preference.
We had some difficult times in the past trying to blend this beautiful family that we have today. We had finally did it and I will hold that love that we shared till the day that I die. I am so glad that God gave me the privilage to have you as long as he did.  "We weren't done yet."  I am so glad that you realized, all on your own, that it was ok to love me.  Hearing that from you was the best gift of all.
Well, I made you a promise a couple of weeks ago and I stuck to it. I just wish that it could have happened before you were gone.  Well, I don't make promises that I cannot keep. So, I promise you here and now that I will take care of that little girl and be the best gramma that I can be to her. I also promise to be the best mom that I can be to ALL your brothers and sisters taht God has blesses me and your father with.  I am so honored to be Mrs. Kristie Perry!

D.J. I am so proud of you for growing into such an extraordinary young man.  Even though I feel incredibly cheated that you have been taken from us in such a cruel way, I thank God for bringing you into our lives.  You brought so much love and life into our family and were loved by everyone who met you.  I pray that you have been reuinted with your Grandma, and that you both will watch over our family, especially Brandon, your Dad, your Grandpa and all the babies.  Nothing has ever hurt me so deeply, but I know that we will meet again some day.  I love you, dude!

Bill, Brandon and the family of DJ we wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sad time. We know how your feeling and there aren't words to take the pain away or the loss you are feeling. Just know that there is a new star shining down on you and he won't be forgotten. Nikki has said to me Mom he was always such a sweetheart and say hi to her whenever he saw her. I will never forget his smile. Him and Jared playing baseball. I will share with you what is on my brother Jerry's footstone "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die" and DJ will never die in our hearts. I wish there was a magic eraser to fix all the saddness and take away our pain but each day will get better and Bill and family you have a great support system-use it. DJ was my son, companion, friend.  He and I shared a very special bond that was unique and beautiful.  I will miss his smile, his sense of humor, his walk and just the sound of his voice.  I will treasure all of my memories of the time we were together.  I will cry over the good times and the bad times and I will thank God for the special irreplaceable gift he gave us on 02/05/1988.  Thanks and God Bless to all that have sent love and support.  Farewell DJ I love you like no other.  I will patiently wait until that great day that I can touch you again.

TO THE PERRY FAMILY. I am so sorry to hear about your loss,  I lived with carol and tom for a year, sept 1987 to 88 and saw the boys there.I was proud to hear that DJ was serving our country.My sympathy goes out to the family. Louise

To the Perry Family,
We are deeply saddened by the loss of D J.  Our prayers go out to you all.  May the memories and knowing DJ knew how loved he was by his ever growing family bring you all comfort.  Some people live an entire lifetime and never have love.  DJ did, and he knew it.  We would also like to say thank you to DJ for serving his country.  We, as you are, are very proud of him.  I will miss his handsome face and beautiful smile and his gigantic melon he couldn't keep from bumping in and out.  We love you.

The following is a letter written by Halee right after we found out he was going to be deployed to Iraq.  She wanted the whole family to sign it so we could give it to him before he left.  

"My cousin, what can I say about DJ?  He's brave I'll give you that.  He has just been notified to go overseas.  He says he's not scared, but I am, for him.  I think my mom said he was going there to fix air-conditioners, but I'm still nervous.  Who knows what's going to happen?  As my mom says "It's in God's hands."  I guess that means that whatever happens is up to God.  I love my cousin, DJ, and I hope nothing happens to him.  I think I speak for the whole family when I say "Good Luck DJ and be safe.  And remember to write.  And of course we all love you.

Dj was the perfect example of a best friend when he would come home on leave we would spend the whole time together i dont think we ever faught once. I will mis DJ dearly and my deepest sympathy goes out to the rest of the family. I loved Dj like a brother and may he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My husband and I offer you our condolences, and our appologies that we can not do much more or attend his service.  We will have made a donation in DJ's honor to the Falen Patriot Organization. I know that so many people have told you to call if you need anything, but once again please call us if you need anything at all, we are more than welcome to help in any way that we can from this long distance.
