He was the loving husband of the late Gloria (Colite) Bologna.
He was born November 3, 1926 in Waterbury and was the son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Blanca) Bologna.
He leaves his children Rosemary Gill of Southington and Gary Bologna and wife Roberta of Stamford; six grandchildren, Edward, Julie, John, Matthew, Natalie and Lonn; six great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna McMahon, three brothers, and two sisters.
Dominick was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida.
After apprenticing as a butcher he opened his own meat market in 1959, the D and D Market on Whiting Street in Plainville. He successfully operated the business there with a partner for more than 30 years.
Dominick was an avid gardener owing to his early life growing up on a farm.
Above all else was his devotion to his children and his family.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m.at St. Thomas Cemetery, Meriden Ave., Southington. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N.
