Donna Marie Cello

Born on July 1, 1954 in Southington, Donna was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marion (Arre) Testa. She was a graduate of Southington High School class of 1973, and went on to dedicate many years of her life working as a special education paraprofessional in the Southington school system until her retirement in 2020. Donna was deeply committed to supporting children and made a lasting impact on the lives of many students throughout her career.

Donna found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, especially Newport RI, where she created many cherished memories with her family. She always had a warm and caring spirit and her love for others was evident in everything she did. Donna also adored her beloved dog, Stella, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.

In addition to her husband David, Donna is survived by her son David G. Cello and his wife Darcie along with her grandchildren Cody and Sadie. She also leaves behind her brother Richard Testa and his wife Deborah, her sister Kathleen Sharp and her husband Wayne, and many other relatives, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Cello in 2024 and also her sister Carol Parks.

Calling hours will be held on July 31, 2026 from 9 am to 11 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will immediately follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington.
