

She was born on March 3, 1930, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Smith) Bailey.
Dorothy took great pride in her appearance, loved to shop, play bingo, and was a die-hard Red Sox fan. She was also a member of the First Lutheran Church. Her greatest love was her children and her extended family.
She is survived by her children Larry R. Fanion of San Diego, CA, Diane Grace DiCapua of Gilbert, AZ, Donna Costello and husband Arthur of Stoneham, MA, Joseph Fanion and wife Susan of Bristol, CT, Kris E. Topa and husband John of Stewartstown, NH, Linda A. Muller of Plainville, CT, and Kim Linderman-Silva and husband Ricardo of Terryville, CT, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother Henry “Buddy” Bailey of Bristol, CT, a sister Dolores McNamara of FL, a brother-in-law Albert Muller, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Norman Burton Fanion, along with 3 brothers and a sister.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 24 at 11:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, CT. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 24 from 9:30 until the time of the service.
