Douglas Gauthier

     Born on February 23, 1952, he was the son of the late William I. and Joan (Mercier) Gauthier. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School class of 1972. Until the time of his illness, he worked for Tuxis-OHRS Fuel, Inc. in Meriden and was formerly employed by Crown Oil Co. in Bristol. Known to most of us as a fun loving person, he was also a spiritual individual and a member of Central Baptist Church in Southington.

     Doug loved his Harley-Davidson motor cycle and riding with his brother-in-law Pete. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family in Maine.

     Doug is survived by a daughter Crystal A. and her husband John Rasmus, a son Stephen D. Gauthier all of Bristol. He adored his three grandchildren Taylor, Jaeden and Kayla. He was a wonderful brother to Nancy McKennerney of Waterbury, Kenneth and his wife Gail Gauthier of Coral Springs, FL, Gary Gauthier with whom he resided in Bristol, his twin brother David and his wife Sandra Gauthier, William F. and his wife Robin Gauthier, all of Waterbury, Mary and her husband Stephen Willette of Wolcott, Raymond Gauthier of Waterbury, Joan and her husband Peter Petruzzi of Thomaston. He is also survived by his former spouse Sharon (O'Leary) Beaulieu of Bristol, uncles Richard and his wife Theresa Gauthier of Prospect, Francis Mercier of Waterbury, an aunt Shirley and her husband Edward Migliorisi of Wolcott, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Funeral Services will be held at a time to be announced on Saturday July 7, 2007 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Visit www.dellavecchiafh.com for directions and online condolences.
