

Born April 2, 1923 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Victor and Mary (Koziol) Stepensky Sr.
He was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army. Ed worked for Raymond Engineering for 20 years and Yale University where he retired from. He also worked in the family optical business, Stepensky?s Opticians of New Britain.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Saenz Stepensky and fiancée Bob Schaubhut of Houston, TX and Susan Conway and partner Walt Kuzia of Plantsville; two brothers, Victor Stepensky Jr. and wife Elaine of Rocky Hill and John Stepensky Sr. and wife Irene of Kensington; two sisters, Claire Chiffer and husband Edward of Old Saybrook and Maryanne Bernardi of Avon; four grandchildren Edward Stepensky III and wife Tabatha, Todd Nadolny and wife Annie, Sheila Fischl and husband Frank and Christina Perbeck and husband Dave; fourteen great-grandchildren; an uncle John Koziol of Kensington, a brother-in-law Bernard Kawecki of Avon, daughter-in-law Dianne Stepensky of Southington and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Edward J. Stepensky Jr., a daughter Gail Dalven and a sister Helen Kawecki.
The funeral will be held Saturday with a mass at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will prior to the mass from 9:15 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Dominic Church or Hillside Missions, 8 East Broad St., Richmond, VA 23219.
