Eileen Marie Barrett, 74, of Southington, peacefully passed away on September 6, 2026. Eileen was born in Hartford on August 5, 1952, to the late James and Effie (O’Connor) Barrett. She grew up in East Hartford and made Connecticut her lifelong home.
Eileen was known for continually bringing joy and comfort to those around her. She was always ready with an encouraging word, a listening ear, and a quick wit. She especially enjoyed reading, British mystery shows, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She was predeceased by her beloved sister and best friend, Sheila, and is survived by her son, Eric Lord, and his wife, Wynne, of Southington; and her grandchildren, Elijah, Kian, and Maia.
Services for Eileen will be held privately with her family.
