Eileen Japs

Born in Waterbury on September 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Martha (Sichau) Gosse. She resided in Wolcott, Danbury and Melbourne, FL, before returning to Waterbury in 2007.

She was employed by National Semiconductor in Danbury and she loved her job as a CNA while she resided in Florida. She was an avid bingo player and loved to shop for good bargains. She always had an amazing connection with animals and especially loved her pet parakeets. She was a kind, generous person with a heart of gold. Both her friends and family will sorely miss her wonderful sense of humor. She is now with Jesus and one day we will see her again.

She is survived by her sons Robert and his wife Debra Japs, John and his wife Robin Japs all of Wolcott, a brother Ronald Gosse and his wife Elizabeth of Colchester, CT, as sister Carol McGuire and her husband Brian of East Hartford, 10 grandchildren: Jeremy and his wife Emily, Austin, Michelle, Matthew, Christina, Gloria, Nick, Tyler, Amanda, Briana and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12 noon at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
