
Southington- Ellery P. Deprey, 53, of 50 Sunnybrook Hill, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at MidState Medical center after a brief courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of 30 years to Nancy (Tully) Deprey.
Born December 7, 1954 in Fort Kent, ME, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Irene (Robichaud) Deprey.
Ellery was employed by Securitas Security of Milford. He was a snowboard instructor at Mt. Southington for many years. Ellery was a dedicated Yankees fan, loved golfing and was an avid snowboarder.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ellery John and Beau Michael and his girlfriend Amanda Tardif, four sisters, Nancy and her husband Lawrence Daigle, Judyand her husband Etienne Bergeron and Janice Griffin all of Southington and Geneva and her husband Terry Irwin of W. Palm Beach, Fl., sister-in-law, Candice Deprey of Southington, father-in-law John Tully and his wife Phyllis, a brother-in-law, David Tully and sister-in-law Louise Tully, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and cousins. He also leaves behind many loyal friends too numerous to mention and his little buddy Riley. He was predeceased by his brother Roger Deprey.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the MidState Medical Center, especially Pavilion B and Dr. Kathleen Sorcinelli.
The Funeral will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, to St. Thomas Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m.
