I watched this service with both sadness and gratitude in my heart. Sadness that she will be missed, but gratitude for having known her. She and the family were a part of my life for a very long time. I am thankful for this part of my journey, and would not have skipped any of it. I am grateful that she played an amazing role in raising Jeff, and contributed in shaping him into the fabulous young man that he is today. Both she and her husband George were the best of the best!!! I am thankful that she will rest in peace along with her fabulous husband, and I am certain that they are loving one another once again. To the family, it has been a joy knowing all of you. As I grow older, I can reflect back and be grateful for all of the many memories. On behalf of all of my family, God Speed Eva. Love you.

In all my years here on this earth, my loving aunt never once forgot to send me a card on my birthday. It did not matter where in the U.S. I was living at the time, she always figured out where I was and made me feel special. I will miss her very much, even though I did not get to spend a lot of time with her, because I lived on the opposite side of the country most of the time.

My Aunt Eva was one of the top few most wonderful women in my life. She was kind, she was funny, she was always smiling. Everyone knows that when you visited her house she treated you like royalty. She always had a kind word for everyone. She had a nice way of lifting you up to make you feel that everything was going to be ok. She literally adored all of her nieces and nephews. She showered us all with so much love and affection and we all just soaked it up. She made us each feel so special. I feel lucky to have been close to her and that I had her in my life for 67 years! This is remarkable to be able to say that. She will be greatly missed but never for a moment forgotten. You know we’ll all be sharing our stories of her forever.

Eva was always so kind especially to her dinner friends. She would go to each one and touch their hand and would say good night. Eva was one of the beautiful women on the 2nd floor. I learned from her kindness.

I will miss seeing Eva’s smile every day at work. I always loved watching her during recreation activities. She always enjoyed the Happy Hours and painting classes.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
