She was born June 20, 1916 in Catskill, NY, the daughter of the late George and Letitia “Myrtle” (Overbaugh) Smith. She had retired as a chemist from the Lehigh Cement Company in Cementon, NY.
Evelyn is survived by a nephew Philip Wache and his wife Rachel of Southington, CT, along with great nephews William Wache and Michael Wache, and a great niece Sherri Palumbo along with their families.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Summit at Plantsville for the wonderful care given to Evelyn.
A Private Graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Town of Catskill Cemetery in New York. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington is in charge of arrangements.
