Florence Marceline Caristia

Florence Marceline Caristia, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully at Southington Care Center, on September 21, 2023. Florence was born on March 12, 1932 in New Britain, a daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Vinci) DelBuono.

Florence will be dearly missed by her family, daughters Marceline Caristia of Middlefield, Maryann Caristia of Plainville, Kathleen Caristia of Colchester, grandchildren Christopher Caristia and his wife Amy, Jorden Riddick, Jamin Riddick and his wife Megan, Hayley Caristia, great grandchildren Nevaeh, Victoria, Lilian, Dominic, Logan, Scarlett Grace. She is predeceased by her son, Christopher.

Florence was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, making sure everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed cross stitch, playing Bingo and making many crafts including ribbon Christmas trees for her friends, family and residents at Southington Care Center. In her younger days she was a semi professional roller-skater.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday October 4, 10-11AM, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11AM at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington. Burial will conclude services in St. Thomas Cemetery. To Leave an online condolence, please visit www.dellavecchiasouthington.com
