

Florence Lyttle passed away at the age of 105 on November 25th. She was the widow of William H. Lyttle, Sr., after 53 years of marriage. She was born on April 2, 1913 in Waterbury, the daughter of Carmella (Spinzi) and Carmine Carbon.
Florence graduated from Wilby High School in the Class of 1931. She attended Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing then became office nurse and secretary for Dr. Herr until 1942, at which time she began raising her family. She was a member of St. Basil the Great Parish and the Reitdyke Senior Center, where she enjoyed making new friends and having many good times. Florence was an avid reader, loved music, and spending time with her family.
Florence is survived by her son, William H. Lyttle, Jr. and his wife Roseann (Carver) of Summerville, SC; her daughter, Virginia LoRusso of Wolcott, with whom she made her home, son-in law, Vincent LoRusso, Sr. of Waterbury; three grandsons Vincent LoRusso, Jr. (JoAnn), Billy LoRusso (Casey), and Bill Lyttle (Marissa); and seven great grandchildren William LoRusso, Joelle LoRusso, Benjamin LoRusso, John LoRusso, James LoRusso, Jordyn Lyttle, and Carson Lyttle.
Florence was the youngest of twelve children, predeceased by six brothers John, James, Mack, Vincent, Henry, and Billy Carbon; and five sisters Angela Cestar, Bertha Cramer, Josephine French, Geraldine Hobbie, and Helen Hassinger.
