Frederick R. Angelone

Born in Waterbury on July 26, 1921, he was the son of the late Vito and Jennie (Sullo) Anzalone. He retired from Scovill/Century Brass where he worked for over 35 years. In his retirement he worked as a driver for Dufour Bus Co. in Wolcott. Fred was also a parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the treasurer of the Scovill Credit Union #4. 

He is survived by two sons Frederick J. and his wife Marion Angelone of Waterbury, Michael P. and his wife Sharon Angelone of Wolcott, two daughters Joanna and her husband John Mailly, Sandra and her husband Jim Taylor all of Wolcott, three brothers Vito Anzalone of Middlebury, Anthony Anzalone of Morris, Renzo Anzalone of Wolcott, a sister Jane Angelone of Waterbury,nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson Rick Angelone, three brothers Theodore, John and Dominic Angelone, two sisters Marie “Nettie” Largrotteria, Amelia “Molly” Angelone.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 10AM Tuesday at St. Maria Goretti Church 1300 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association 300 Research Parkway Meriden, CT 06450.
