Gary J. Michaud

Gary J. Michaud, 69, of Southington, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born on November 25, 1955, in Southington, he was the son of the late Ralph J. and Stella (Folcik) Michaud.

A lifelong resident of Southington, Gary was a proud graduate of local schools and later attended Goodwin Technical School, where he received his technical education in manufacturing. He worked for many years at Meriden Manufacturing as a skilled tool and die maker, where his craftsmanship and dedication were well respected.

Gary was a man of many passions. He loved riding his 1978 Harley-Davidson Panhead motorcycle, boating, collecting model train sets, and took great pride in maintaining his yard and garden. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, and his ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah (Prentiss) Michaud, his daughter Jessica Prentiss Uriano and her partner Peter Chmielnicki, and his cherished grandchildren Dakota and Madison Uriano. He also leaves behind his sisters Patricia Garrett and her husband Richard, and Karen Edwards and her husband John, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gary will be deeply missed by his faithful dogs, Willow and Muffin.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gary’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
