Geno Celella

Born July 4, 1935 in Southington, he was the son of the late Peter and Florence (Mazzera) Celella.

He worked for many years in Ice cream manufacturing, research and development and consulting.

Geno played football at UCONN and held long standing records in track & field. He loved gardening, but his true passion were the many years he bred and showed Arabian horses.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Ronald Celella and wife Lorin of Bantam and Mitchell Celella of Southington, 4 grandchildren, Paige and Nora Celella, Frank and Victor Koran; a sister Judy Wasik and husband Edward. He was predeceased by his brothers Tony, Ralph, Peter and Robert Celella and his sisters Marie Rossi and Jeanette Norris.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 6th at 6 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
