I'll always remember  the good times working together at Taylors Grocery. Thanks for the "education" on life you imparted during those years.

It was a wonderful day when Jean & George moved to "Upper Coach Dr" Spring Lake Village.  We welcomed them with open arms, and shared so many good years, partying around the village.  My best memory is the  "Upper Coach Dr" trip to Vermont and George & Jean insisting they so a big "bear"!  I send my deepest sympathy to you all, your Dad was a special person. It will be a sad trip to Southington to say  farewell to a wonderful  uncle, friend and at times a father figure.   I will miss our chats which always ended "Ok, now go to bed Denise", it may have only been 7:30pm but that is what he would say!   I will be struck by sadness as I go to pick up the phone to give him a call.   To my cousins, I wish my love and support, I know your hearts are heavy as you will mss your dad's laugh, his smile, his support and the many memories you've shared.    In the days to follow may those memories lighten your hearts. xoxoxo

I will miss that mischievous smile & sense of humor. I knew George from his days of being the Cookie Monster, first when I cashiered as a young girl at a Waterbury grocery store & then through the years as I raised my family.  It was a pleasant surprise to see him when we moved to Southington & we'd wave as he was on his daily walk.  A fine gentleman who was so proud of his children & grandkids - at peace and with Jean in heaven.

Dear Michael, just saw this in today's Courant. So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We are still in East Hampton CT. Would be good to hear from you .

To my cousins;  I am so sad about the loss of your wonderful dad and my Uncle George.  He was a gentleman, in the truest sense.  He liked being a quiet man, but he was so strong and dependable.  He cared so much for all of us  We talked every month or so on the phone these last couple of years, and he was so helpful and reassuring to me as I lost my parents.  He shared advice softly, and made sure to laugh a little too, leaving me with a smile.  I am going to miss those moments and that laugh. You were blessed to have such a man as your father.
