Born in February 1944 in Alvignano Caserta, Italy, Giulio was the son of the late Ferdinand and Maria (Ladevito) Simone.
Giulio dedicated 46 years of service to A. Fiorillo Co. in Milldale before his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. In his free time, Giulio enjoyed bowling, cheering on the Boston Red Sox, and following UConn women's basketball. He had a lifelong passion for gardening, taking great pride in growing vegetables and flowers, and he especially enjoyed making homemade wine. Above all else, Giulio treasured the time he spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
In addition to his loving wife, June, Giulio is survived by his daughter, Jeana Simone of Bristol; his sister, Marie DelSanto of Southington; his six grandchildren, Terra Favoccia (Anthony),Kristina Liseo (Larry), Alyssa Podlisny (Brandon), Ryan Wackelin, Kayla Breakell (Scott), and Jacob Martin; his six great-grandchildren, Nicholas Lavigne, Xander Perry, Torin Favoccia, Max Liseo, Gianna Liseo, and Jackson Breakell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Roseann Levesque; his three sisters, Rose, Concetta, and Louisa; his brother, Frank; and his parents, Ferdinand and Maria Simone.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Giulio's life on Thursday, August 6, 2026, during calling hours from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington.
