She was born on July 18, 1915 in Plantsville and had been a resident of Plantsville most of her life. Mrs. Gawitt was employed by Prudential Ins. Co. from 1965-1991.
She is survived by her children, Paul and his wife Dolores Gawitt of Wethersfield, Michael Gawitt of MD and Larry Gawitt of CA, 7 grandchildren, Amy Pallotti, Kelly, Dan, Scott, Jessica, Stephen and Gregory Gawitt as well as 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 from 2-5 pm
