Helen R. Shockley

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on October 6,1921 the daughter of the late John and Helen (Miller) Boring. Helen made her home in Cleveland, OH for 64 years, moving to Southington in 2001.

She is survived by three daughters, Ida White of Southington, Patricia Knapp of Anchorage, AK and Terry Hurley of Cleveland, OH; three brothers, John, David and Frank Boring all of Wheeling, West VA; two sisters, Betty Thomas of Wheeling, West VA and Marcella Boring of Cleveland, OH; 7 grandchildren, Rhonda, Robin, Cort, Luther, Adam, Dawn and Ruel, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ruel Shockley, 2 grandsons, Trevor Hurley and Ronald White, 2 brothers, Robert and Frederick Boring and 2 sisters, Mary Macik and Florence Judnick.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is

assisting with the arrangements.
