
Born in Waterbury on November 18, 1951, Homer was the son of Therese (Richard) (Fortier) Stone of Waterbury and the late Armand Fortier. He graduated from St. Anne Grammar School and attended Wilby High School. He then served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
Homer was best known as an active member of the Franco American Social Club where he served on the BOD and nominating committee and played on the softball team. He also loved to fish and hunt. His fun loving personality will be missed by his many friends and family members.
Besides his mother Therese, Homer is survived by brothers Michael and his wife Rosemarie Fortier of Oakville, Norman and his wife Cathy Fortier of SC, a sister Carol and her husband Doug Olson of Waterbury. He is also survived by nephews Armand and Michael Fortier, Vincent D'Amico and nieces Tracy and Teressa Fortier, Danielle D'Amico and Annette Johnson.
