Iolanda (D’Agostino) Marcuccio, 85, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at HOCC at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington. She was the beloved wife of the late Michele Marcuccio.
Born in Caiazzo, Italy, in October 1940, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (SantaBarbara) D’Agostino. Iolanda was employed by Rex Forge and later retired from Tollman Spring.
Iolanda was a devoted homemaker and a woman who found great joy in caring for her family. She was an avid gardener and took pride in growing beautiful flowers and plants. She also loved making wine and preparing delicious meals for her family, creating many cherished memories around her kitchen table.
She is survived by her three sons, Pietro Marcuccio and his wife, Susan, of Bristol; Pasquale Marcuccio and his fiancée, Elizabeth Maxwel, of Southington; and Maurizio Marcuccio of Southington; two sisters, Glorianna and Giusupina, both of Italy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Matthew Marcuccio, her brother, Giuseppe D’Agostino and her sister Mafalda.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at South End Cemetery.
