
Born in Wallagrass, ME, June 6, 1938 a son of the late Rene and Aurella (DePrey) DuBois.
James served in the U.S. Army in 1955-1958 and was proud to have served in Korea. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Southington until his retirement. James was also the manager of the Southington Drive-in for many years, he also worked at the Palace Theater in New Britain and the Farmington Drive-in and was a projectionist for several theatres. He also worked for the Western Auto Store in Southington was the business agent for IATSE, Local 350.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Lisa Hilliard and her husband Robert of Forestville; a son, Jay DuBois and his wife Terry of Maine; a daughter, Lisa Lorah of Ohio; a sister, Linda Casale and her husband Richard of Southington; two brothers, Roderick and Edward DuBois both of Southington; 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and many wonderful nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers John and Raynold DeBois.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 9:15 AM from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, followed by a mass at 10 AM at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc., 45 Ash St., E. Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
