

James was born in Southington on Sept. 4, 1920, the son of the late Michael and Caroline (DelSanto) Manware. He served in WWII with the Army Air Corps as an assistant medic to the flight surgeon. He worked as a driver for Sanitary Laundry and retired from Ideal Forge Corp. He was a long time member of the Elks Club for many years and the Southington Red Men Wonx Tribe #28.
Jim was a gentleman and a patriot. He was proud of his service to his country and treated everyone with respect. He was able to relate to all ages and enjoyed welcoming his many grand nieces and nephews to his home.
Jim and Sadie were married for 77 years, they celebrated both their 70th and 75th anniversaries with family and friends.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
In addition to his beloved wife Sadie he was predeceased by 4 brothers Michael, Eugene, William, and Lawrence Manware and 3 sisters Lena Smith, Rita Hayes and Mary DeFlice.

The Funeral will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road for Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am.
Burial with Military honors will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday Feb. 2, 2022 from 5-7 pm.
